CAMERON, Stuart George
Welcomed into the Great Mystery during an electrical storm, Stuart Cameron passed serenely at the Hamilton General Hospital in the loving presence of family. The day was November 30, 2016 and he was in his 77th year. Stuart’s warm heart and compassionate manner touched all who knew him. His kindness extended to all living creatures and lead him to choose a vegetarian diet and humane life-style. He made choices in harmony with the health of the planet. He understood that happiness came from within and the first step is cheerfulness and equanimity. Stuart thought for himself. He did not accept dogma or convention without first testing for veracity. A gentle non-conformist, by determining for himself how to live, he created a strong, ethical framework for life that gave him genuine presence. Stuart was the beloved husband of Marilyn for the past 50 years, the cherished father of Jennifer and Jamie and the adored Bubba of Charlotte, Chloe and Casey. Dearly loved brother of Nancy, Virginia and Laurel and the loving father-in-law to Dege and Rachael. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the owner/operator of Cameron Trenching for over 30 years. We will miss his humour, eccentricities and unique philosophies, but most of all we will miss him. We are immensely grateful to the staff at the Hamilton General Hospital and most especially to his doctors, nurses and support workers on 7 South. Family, friends and neighbours are invited to a Celebration of Stuart’s Life on Saturday, January 28th at the Tamahaac Club in Ancaster between 1 and 4 pm. Online condolences can be offered through www.dbancaster.ca.
