<div itemprop="description">With very heavy hearts on September 11, 2015, the world lost a truly beautiful person and True Diamond. Karen passed away suddenly and at home in her sleep. Left to grieve her passing is her mother, Joy Pett, who has been Karen&rsquo;s inspiration and rock for her entire 57 years; her husband Dave, who loved and cherished his wife and just celebrated their 38 year wedding anniversary; and her beautiful daughters, Sarah (Michael) and Amanda (Dayton), who lost their best friend and mother who never wavered in love and support of her precious girls. Karen&rsquo;s most recent sparkle in her eye came with the newest love of her life, her granddaughter Lexa. Her loving sister Rhonda (Glenn) has lost the most beautiful sister and confidante; the music and laughter they shared will live on forever. Predeceased by her father Ron Pett, and her sister Catherine Pett. Karen will also be missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by her friends and colleagues at City Housing Hamilton, where she spent 25 wonderful and successful years. Visitation will be held at the DODSWORTH &amp; BROWN FUNERAL HOME &ndash; ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson Street East, on Tuesday September 15th from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday September 16th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family asks that you carry out an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness to a stranger or friend in Karen&rsquo;s memory.</div>
