<div itemprop="description">Surrounded by the love of his family, Joseph passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday April 6th, 2016, at the age of 83. <br />Cherished husband to Cecile (nee Babineau). Loving father to Paul (Bernetta), Vince (Lesley), Brenda Stemmler (Wayne) and Norm (Jan); reunited with his daughter Lisa (1993). Beloved &ldquo;Papa Joe&rdquo; to nine grandchildren. <br />Much loved brother to Charlie, Frances, Catherine, Joanne and Theresa. Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives from the Babineau and Scime families. <br />Joseph held a proud career of 41 years as an Electronics Technician with Westinghouse, and nurtured passions for plants, gardening, tropical fish and classical music. <br />Joseph and Cecile raised their family in Ancaster, Ontario. They extend heartfelt thanks to their friends at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Villa in Dundas, where Joseph has lived for the last 8 years. <br />Family and friends will be received at the DODSWORTH &amp; BROWN FUNERAL HOME &ndash; &ldquo;ANCASTER CHAPEL&rdquo;, 378 Wilson Street East, on Tuesday April 12th from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m., with vigil prayers at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at ST. ANNS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 11 Wilson Street West, Ancaster, on Wednesday April 13th at 11 a.m., with interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. <br />In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. <br /></div>
