John Entwistle
March 19, 1943 - December 29, 2016
ENTWISTLE, John Allen
Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday December 29, 2016 in his 73rd year. Loving father to his sons Kelly (Julie) and Warren (Rita) and predeceased by his youngest son Paul. Cherished “Papa John” to Paige, Abby, Eve, Payton and Mya. Will be sadly missed by his close friends Linda and Harry Taylor. Predeceased by his sister Helen Charby. A true giver of his time, knowledge and skills, John will be remembered for his willingness to drop everything to help with home renovations, rescue do-it-yourself projects, build toys and kid-furniture, and save his grandkids from hand-made Halloween costumes gone wrong. Always a friendly voice who showed his love through kind words and playful banter, “John”, “Papa John”, or “Dad” will be missed. To respect his wishes for privacy, the family has proceeded with a private cremation. Online condolences can be offered through www.dbancaster.ca and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society can be made in his memory for those wishing to do so.
