<div itemprop="description">Peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Tuesday September 1, 2015. Beverley Alkerton age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Charles Alkerton (1994). Loving mother of Chuck (Tracy), Ellie McCabe (Steve) and Dave (Amanda). Cherished grandmother of Mathew, Samantha, Brandon, Jennifer, Katie (Matt), Justin, Brandon, Dean and great-grandmother of Jace. Dear sister-in-law of Ruth, Ralph, George (Eleanor) and their families. Predeceased by her brothers Ted and Dutton Copp and sister-in-law of predeceased Helen Alkerton, Dora (George) Kerr, Frank Perkins, Earl Alkerton (Dorothy), Jessie Alkerton and their families. Beverley was a long time member of Ryerson United Church, Ancaster. Her Ryerson family provided great joy and support throughout the years. For years she was a member of the Engineers Wives Club, Thesarus Club, Probus Club and Neighbourhood Bridge Club. She was the proud recipient of the Rotary Paul Harris Award, supporter of World Vision and proud mother to two foster children. She was a member of the Ancaster Senior Achievement Centre, a volunteer with the Highgate Senior Centre and Local Cribbage Master. Special thanks to Dr. Benger, Wendy and the Juravinski staff. Visitation at Ryerson United Church, 265 Wilson Street East, Ancaster on Thursday September 3rd from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.</div>
