<div itemprop="description">A long-time resident of the West Hamilton area, died peacefully on January 17, 2016 after a struggle with lung cancer, at St. Peter&rsquo;s Hospital Hamilton. Born in 1941 in Hamilton, Predeceased by her brother Ken Baxter and sister Fay MacGillivary. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine, her son, Hendrick and his wife Michele and their son Noah, her two brothers, Robert (Teresa) and Eb (Blanche) Baxter, brother in law Fred MacGillivary, and her boyfriend Bill Gadsby. Gloria was an active member of the Air Force Club in Dundas, as well as the Royal Canadian Legion. She enjoyed community life at Rambynas Apartments, where she was a resident for the last ten years. Gloria held several jobs over her lifetime. From the 1960s through the 1980s she worked at Westinghouse, Camco, The Owl&rsquo;s Roost, and Dalewood Restaurant, among others. During the 1990s, she worked as a waitress at Louis&rsquo;s restaurant in Dundas, where she enjoyed chatting with many of the regular customers. In the mid to late 90s, she worked at Stanley Tools. Gloria made a career shift in the late 90s, and worked as a clerk in the mail room at Edulinx in Mississauga until her retirement in the early 2000s. Family invites friends to the DODSWORTH &amp; BROWN Funeral Home ANCASTER CHAPEL 378 Wilson St. E. on Friday, January 22, 2016 with visitation from 12-2 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at 2 p.m. With interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.</div>
