<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Symboluk on May 31, 2016 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 80th year. Beloved son of the late Frank and Mary Symboluk (Konyk) and brother of the late Michael and Joseph. Stan will be deeply missed by his wife Jean of 55 years, who is already feeling the loss greatly. Extremely loved father of his cherished daughters, Lisa Rogers (favourite son-in-law Jack) and Dr. Amanda Symboluk. Also survived by son Paul. Best Grandpa in the world to his grandchildren Rachelle Gagne, Stephen Wade, Michael Symboluk, Jessica Rogers, Julian Rogers and Alissa Rogers. Missed dearly by his best friend Louie. During his childhood, Stan enjoyed growing up in the Brightside neighbourhood and still maintains close friendships with his Brightside buddies. He attended Wilfred Laurier University and had a long teaching career with the Hamilton Board of Education as a Secondary School Teacher. Stan met his wife Jean in 1956 at a wedding, fell in love, married and made a wonderful home in Ancaster where they raised their three children. Visitation will be held at DODSWORTH AND BROWN FUNERAL HOME – ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson Street E. Ancaster, on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Vigil Prayer will be offered at 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 11 Wilson Street W. Ancaster, on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow.</div>
