Honorary sister and roommate to Barb Kilpatrick (deceased), and special friend and soulmate to Barb’s daughter Bev Silverthorne, and her husband Dave Bruce. Special thanks to the staff of the Willowgrove, particularly the nurses of the “Valley City” neighbourhood, for their loving care and friendship. Marlene, affectionately known to them as “Bink”, always kept them on their toes. Visitation will be held at the DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME – “ANCASTER CHAPEL”, 378 Wilson Street East, on Tuesday May 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday May 20th in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., with interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens at 1:30 p.m. Marlene was truly a selfless person and would be happy if, in her memory, you would considered doing extra good deeds for others in your daily life. However, if desired, donations to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA or the Willowgrove Recreation Department to assist with programming would be appreciated.
