<div itemprop="description">POLLOCK, John &ldquo;George&rdquo; &ndash; 1935- 2015 &ndash; On Sunday, October 11, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Hospital, after a long illness with Pulmonary Fibrosis, George lost his battle. George leaves behind his loving wife Mary of 56 years. Dear father of Dale, Greg (Debbie), Karen, and Cheryl (Rod Onski) O&rsquo;Sullivan. Poppy will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Mitchell, Darren, Mason, Rosie, Mackenzie, Molly, Isla, and Christopher. George is survived by his dear sisters Martha (Billy) and Mary (Roy) and their families of Northern Ireland. Also survived by his family Darlene, Jim and children in Vermont, USA and many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews also of Northern Ireland. George had many special friends who will miss him dearly. The last immigrants to come by boat immigrating to Canada in 1960. George spent 37 years working for Stelco. In his leisure time he played and coached soccer for many years. George will always be remembered as a kind, generous, patient, humble, strong, handsome and let&rsquo;s not forget his charming character and sense of humour. A special thank you to the VON, St. Elizabeth&rsquo;s Nursing Care (Jenn), Dr. Darrington and staff at the Stonechurch Health Centre. With special thanks to the Toronto General Hospital Transplant Team. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at ST. ANDREWS UNITED CHURCH 479 Upper Paradise Rd, (at Mohawk Rd. W.) Hamilton on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George can be made to the St. Andrews United Church Memorial Fund or your local Food Share Program.
