<div itemprop="description">Suddenly, after a brief illness, on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at The Soldiers Hospital in Orillia, in his 64th year. Peacefully with his family at his side, in the arms of the loves of his life: wife Paula, daughter Megan and son-in-law Matt. Reunited in heaven with Kirby. Dear Poppa to the &quot;Gowing Gang&quot; Grandsons Noah, Ben, and Nate. Dad to his furry friends Star, Fox, Willow and Munch. Will be sadly missed by his family J.B., Paul, Marion, Peter, Joe, Brenda, dear friends Barb, Peter and John. Life began again for Ven when he moved to Bracebridge. He loved his cottage home and the time spent there with family and friends. He will be remembered as a great conversationalist, his favourite pastime was chatting with his friends on the telephone while enjoying a beer and a smoke. He will be missed by his coworkers at Rubberline and his hunting pals. Visitation at Dodsworth and Brown, Ancaster, Monday, April 29th from 7-9 p.m. and services Tuesday, April 30th, 2 p.m., Marshall Memorial United Church, Ancaster. If desired, donations may be made to the Bracebridge SPCA 705-645-6225 and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation 705-646-4404.
