<div itemprop="description">Durant, Dale Gary <br />It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Durant on January 1st, 2015. We mourn the loss of his beautiful soul, kindness and love. Born June 2nd, 1967, Dale passed at the early age of 47. He was recognized and will forever be remembered for his volunteer contributions to the many hospitals in the area. He was a proud member of St. Paul's United Church. It did not matter whether you had known him for minutes or for decades, Dale had a unique ability to make every person feel genuinely special. Above all, Dale was known for how much he loved his family and always provided them with true, unconditional love. His story was beautiful, important and will remain in our hearts forever. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his mother Ilene Durant, but will join hands with his late father, Gary Durant. He is also survived by his grandmother, Thelma Aikins; his sisters, Kelly Poworoznyk and her husband Harry, and Lori Bock and her husband, Tony; his nieces and nephews, Courtney and Jordan Walychuck, Gregory Poworoznyk, Rachel Bock, and Alexander Bock; the children of his nieces; Jordan, Ayden and Emery; as well as many family and friends. <br /> <br />A visitation will take place at the Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home, 378 Wilson Street East, Ancaster, Ontario,on Friday, January, 9th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the Ryerson United Church, 265 Wilson Street East, Ancaster, Ontario on Saturday, January 10th, at 11:00am. Cremation has already taken place. <br /> <br />The family is eternally grateful to a very special person, Reverend Dwayne Ratzlaff, for his kindness, unwavering support and guidance. Also, a special thank you to the nurses and doctors at the St. Joseph's (West 5th) Psychiatric Hospital. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful that donations be made to St. Joseph&rsquo;s Healthcare Foundation, 224 James Street South, Hamilton, Ontario, L8P 3A9, or via web at www.stjoesfoundations.ca.
